The Emperor Napoleon in His Study at the Tuileries is a portrait painted in 1812 by Jacques-Louis David. This oil on canvas measuring 203.9 × 125.1 cm is held by the National Gallery of Art in Washington as part of the Samuel H. Kress Collection.
David constructs the image of a ruler who is at once soldier, emperor, and administrator. The clock reads 4:13, the candles are nearly spent, and Napoleon’s clothing bears the signs of a night’s work. Papers referring to the Napoleonic Code evoke his role as lawmaker, while the uniform, sword, and maps point to his military position. The carefully staged scene is a political portrait rather than a record of an actual sitting.

Canvas 100% polyester (285 g/m²), UV-resistant and solvent-free inks, safe for children and allergy sufferers. The canvases are mounted on a 2 cm thick wooden frame (4 cm for very large formats).
