Discover the story behind this artwork
This vintage Vietnamese propaganda poster shows three bare-chested men in blue shorts attacking a red flag with a yellow star. The fabric is torn, and the figures raise or point bladed tools towards the flag. A crowd of small armed silhouettes appears in the background.
Diagonal handles and raised arms give the scene a sense of movement. The red flag contrasts with the blue clothing and green background, while black outlines define the figures. A Vietnamese inscription occupies the bottom of the image.
This reproduction presents the poster as a graphic and historical document. Its vertical composition and contrasting colours make it an expressive piece for a study or a space devoted to the history of visual culture.
