Discover the story behind this artwork
Dive into the Norman artisanal heritage with this vintage advertising poster dedicated to the famous artistic coppers of Villedieu-les-Poêles, the historical capital of coppersmiths.
This poster in golden and sepia tones reveals a picturesque scene of the village at sunset. Bells hanging and a series of shining copper objects frame the central perspective on the bell tower, while the mentions of crafts (foundry, stove making, leather dressing, parchment making) recall the rich artisanal past of this emblematic town. A composition both elegant and full of memory.
A art print serving Norman craftsmanship and heritage
This vintage advertising poster celebrates manual skills with strength and refinement. It evokes the authenticity of ancient trades, the excellence of French workshops, and the soul of a whole village focused on the tradition of metalwork. It is a rare, decorative piece, deeply rooted in the industrial and artistic history of the region.
Perfect for a rustic kitchen, a craftsman's workshop, a decor shop, or an interior inspired by authentic Normandy.
