Michael and Xenia, Children of Emperor Alexander III by Albert Edelfelt
The two children gather beside a large armchair in a richly furnished interior. Xenia is seated while Michael stands in front of her; a large white dog completes the group. Their pale clothes, accented with red, stand out against the room’s deep browns.
An imperial portrait painted in 1882
This oil on canvas by Albert Edelfelt portrays Grand Duke Michael Alexandrovich and Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna, children of the future Emperor Alexander III. Dated 1882, the painting measures 75 × 61 cm and is in a private collection. It should not be confused with the preparatory studies held by the Finnish National Gallery.

Our frames measure 1.7 cm on each side. For a 40x60 cm painting, the total framed size is therefore 43.4 x 63.4 cm.
Canvas 100% polyester (285 g/m²), UV-resistant and solvent-free inks, safe for children and allergy sufferers. The canvases are mounted on a 2 cm thick wooden frame (4 cm for very large formats).
