Napoleon’s Entry into Amsterdam, 9 October 1811 is a history painting made in 1812–1813 by Mattheus Ignatius van Bree (1773–1839). This monumental oil on canvas measures 410 × 580 cm. Acquired in 1813, it belongs to the Amsterdam Museum collection.
The composition depicts Napoleon’s official reception in Amsterdam on 9 October 1811, one year after the Kingdom of Holland was annexed to the French Empire. At the centre, the emperor rides a white horse before the city’s representatives.
