Discover the story behind this artwork
This vertical collage depicts a woman in profile, from her shoulders to the top of her head, in black, white and grey tones. A fragment of her face is shifted to the left like a paper cut-out. Her long black hair falls behind her shoulder.
Yellow and orange flowers with green leaves cross the face and continue through the hair. Above them hangs an ochre fruit-like shape attached to a stem with two dark leaves. A pale yellow disc and a textured beige background complete the composition. The image combines monochrome photography, botanical elements and flat drawn shapes. This contemporary creation is presented without a verified artist or source artwork.
